"With the ever changing water patterns of Lake Michigan's Clarity so come the tactics to still put fish in the cooler. Today the use of lead cores and copper line are two key factors in effective fishing because of the crystal clear water. To use multiple setups like these you need an inline planer board and after trying out offshore planer boards and big birds i though i was somewhat set. Then came the introduction of the Z Board. It fishes these set ups more effectively then any other board on the market. For one the weight of the boards when reeling in and fighting fish is greatly decreased in comparison to other boards. Secondly for the price of the board it makes it no question as it comes fully rigged with the best clincher pads on the market. Another key to this board is how it pulls these heavy lines further out from the typical spread, resulting in a very minimal possibility of tangles. Being a charter caption and tournament fisherman it's key to have everything run smooth giving me the best catch possible, with this board it has helped me in tournaments in the Z Boards first season. I had the pleasure of prototyping this board and now recommend it to any angler who uses planer boards to troll. If you're not fishing with the Z Board, you're limiting the amount of fish you will end up with in your boat."

"The Z Board is Incredible! They track and stay up where they need to be, on the side and away from the boats stern action. When there are lines running from the boat, or a fish trying to peel to the side, I know the board lines are not going to be in the way. I have pulled large baits, snap weights, a full core of lead and even 200 ft. of copper behind these boards and when working in the back of the boat at night, i still watch the boards in front of my stern light! They are naturally light, pull hard, and extremely visible. I have run mine with lights and i can tell even when light bait sketches the reef without hang-up! The Z board is a phenomenal tool for simplifying the challenges of fishing walleyes and salmon, day or night. What an asset"

"The Z Board is a must have for board fisherman. I've tried all and there is no equal. From flat lines to 300' of copper, these boards will produce. They track out farther, run straighter, and are lighter than any board on the market. Tournament fishing just got a little easier."

Thanks for turning me on to these new Z BOARDS, I've worked them into my starting line-up for row-trolling live suckers and found them amazing. I use the smaller boards, Little Sisters, for 6-10" and The Brothers for suckers up to 16-18". Being able to tune them for the speed desired is pushing them up in the shallows and holding my depth right in the strike zone. This time of the year I'm only pushing .7-1.3 MPH and stopping quite often to allow the sucker to work themselves. When I start rowing again they put on quite a show jerking the sucker and giving them some real action. Three for four the last trips out.
Notice in the photos we're able to run 5 lines out of a 1938 Shell Lake "Snipe" with very little room in this 15' wood-lap boat. But my lines are away from the commotion in the boat and doing well out to 75-100' of line on my Diawa's. I've added some Northland blades in line for added attraction. I have found moving my St Croix 8'MF Muskey pole to the outside gives them the proper working plan on the Little Sisters running almost Wide Open as you say.
And hell we catch Muskies. See The Old Fart in Photo 005, I'm alone but here you can see the width of my boat. Used a self timer on a camera holder in back of boat, gives you a better idea how effective these boards are for getting our lines out and tracking properly. And remember there wouldn't be a Kodak moment without a Frabill!
